THE 2nd ADMIRAL YISUNSHIN CUP
INTERNATIONAL YACHT RACE

Organizing Authority is GyeongSangNamDo Sailing Federation in conjunction with KSAF
1. NOTICE OF RACE
1.1 THE 2nd ADMIRAL YISUNSHIN CUP INTERNATIONAL YACHT RACE will be
governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing 2005-2008(RRS), including
a) Particular rating for ADMIRAL YISUNSHIN CUP INTERNATIONAL RACE
b) Sailing Instruction
c) ORC club Regulatiorn
1.2 If there is a conflict between languages, the English text will take precedence.
2. VENUE
The Venue is the GyeongSangNamDo TongYeong City Marina.
3. ADVERTISING
3.1 Advertising shall be Category C in accordance with ISAF Regulation 20.3.2
3.2 If the race committee will take effect advertising, all boats and competitors shall display advertisement on the confirmed place given by the organizer.
4. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRIES
4.1 All boats shall be more than 7m over all(LOA) excluding bowsprit and bumpkin with MONO hull has a force of restitution.
4.2 All competitors of Korean registry shall be the member of Korean Sailing Federation.
4.3 All participating boat of Korean registry shall be presented a copy of entry form, issued by Korean Sailing Federation.
4.4 ENTRY
A) Entries shall be made to the AYCIYRC office on the attached form, accompanied by Entry fee payments, no later than 1700h 18th April 2008.
B) Late entries may be accepted at the sole discretion of the race committee, up until 1700h 25th April 2008 in which case will be given to 50% of subsidy and after there must be no more accepted for entry.
4.5 THE ENTRY FEE;
A) For boat - 100,000 KOR Won(Current rate 1?=about 1,400 KOR Won)
B) For each competitor - 10,000 KOR Won.
C) Entry fee shall not be returned.
4.6 REGISTRATION
Each owner or skipper shall be registered at AYCIYRC office by 1000h 10th May 2008.
4.7 The nationality of all eligible boats may belong to their national authority entering her. But the charter boat belongs to the nationality of the skipper.
4.8 All participating boat shall display Entry Number on the both side of the bow.
4.9 All category B class participating boats shall be sailed with more than minimum 4 members of the each boat for making steady progress and safety of the race.
4.10 The Organizing Authority may refuse in regard to decision with boat and competitor if they have the problem of safety and against the sportsmanship.
5. CLASS
The class will be divided two categories as follows;
- Category A: ORC CLUB
- Category B: OPEN(PHRF)

There will be no race on the last day when already accomplished the race if cannot be started by 1400h.
7. MEASUREMENT AND INSPECT
7.1 Each boat shall have (submit) a valid rating certificate.
7.2 If any boat cannot submit valid rating certificate, that can be receive the measurement and safety inspection based on a regulation of this regatta.
7.3 Race Committee may request a measurement form, measured by Official KSAF measurer, or available inspect form and certificate from their boat builder and shipyard.
8. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
8.1 The Sailing instructions will be distributed during the registration at the venue.
8.2 If there is a difference between the notice of race and sailing instruction, the sailing instruction will take precedence
9. COURSE AND RACING AREA
The course will be windward-leeward. All participating boats will start from TongYeong City harbor and turn around the buoy in front of Bijindo beach and to arrive on the TongYeong City harbor. But these will be able to change by the day¡¯s wind condition.
10. PENALTY SYSTEM
The penalty will be two turn including two tack and two gybe places.
11. INTERNATIONAL JURY AND APPLEAL
11.1 An international Jury will be appointed by the Organizing authority.
11.2 Decisions of the jury will be final as provided in rule 70.4
12. SCORING
12.1 The low point system of RRS AppendiX A will apply.
12.2 ORC Club Regulation and Particular rating system will be applied by Race Committee.
12.3 The race at least one shall be finished for completing the races.
12.4 All Points from first and second race will be added up for a final score.
12.5 When three races have been completed, a boats series score will be the total of her race scores.
12.6 When four races have been completed, a boats series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
13. BERTING
Boats shall be kept in their assigned places in the boat park.
14. THE LIMIT OF THE LENDING
All boats cannot be landed during the regatta except to follow permission and condition of the organizing authority.
15. RADIO COMMUNICATION
The radio system (Marine VHF) of all boats shall be opened for receiving message with frequency, confirmed by race committee while participating in the race.
16. PRIZE
16.1 The prize will be given to the crews that rank from the first to fifth.
THE 2nd ADMIRAL YISUNSHIN CUP INTERNATIONAL YACHT RACE General Winner is to be the winner of the ORC club.
16.2 THE 2nd ADMIRAL YISUNSHIN CUP INTERNATIONAL YACHT RACE lucky numbers will be awarded to 3boats of each class have accord with the number, related that commemorate the General YISUNSHIN¡¯s achievement and this regatta. The related numbers shall be informed at prize giving ceremony.
16.3 The general trophy is to be kept by winner during 1year and then should be returned to next regatta.
The each prize category and Lucky number awards is as follows;

Open class ¤ýThe first: Trophy and prize 5,000,000 KOR Won
¤ýThe second: Trophy and prize 3,000,000 KOR Won
¤ýThe third: Trophy and prize 2,000,000 KOR Won
¤ýThe fourth: prize 1,000,000 KOR Won
¤ýThe fifth: prize 500,000 KOR Won
The Lucky number awards: prize 300,000 KOR Won or prize.
17. DISCLAMIR OF LIABILITY
All those taking part in the regatta do so at their own risk and responsibility. The Organizing Authority and any other party involved in the organization of the ADMIRAL YISUNSHIN CUP disclaim any and all responsibility whatsoever for loss, damage injury or inconvenience that might occur to persons and materials, boat owner or his representative accepts these terms by signing the entry form.
18. SUBSIDY
According to the regulation, subsidy will be provided differently by the size of the boat and returning distance. If a competitor has canceled or withdraw the participation, the committee may refuse to pay the subsidy for the boat.
The subsidy according to the size of the national boat and returning distance is as follows;
a) Size: less than (under) 39feet - 200,000 KOR Won
more than (Over) 40feet - 300,000 KOR Won
b) distance: local(TongYeong City) - 1,000,000 KOR Won
under 100 miles - 1,500,000 KOR Won
over 100 miles - 2,000,000 KOR Won
The size of the abroad boat and returning subsidy are as follows;
a) size: equal to national boat
b) distance: under 700 miles - 3,000,000 KOR Won
over 700 miles - 3,500,000 KOR Won
reckon the distance of the sailing is based on final boat¡¯s origin and abroad boat or national boat, which had come to sail within the country already before notice of the race, is applied by internal criterion.
The boat, refused the participation in the regatta or wouldn¡¯t be completed the race without convinced reason by jury committee, cannot be provided the subsidy.
